Mr. Meir Cohen, the Mayor of Dimona, took part in the press conference devoted to the 2nd anniversary of the silica project in the Negev Desert. The conference was held at the DSI site. Mr. Cohen pointed out the importance of the silica plant operation to both city of Dimona and Israeli economics as the industrial development in the Negev Desert is one of the country's long term goals. He promised to supervise the plant and to help DSI protecting its interests in the Government Bureau.

A meeting at the DSI construction site organized by Mr. Feinblum, the CEO, was kindly attended by Mr. Meir Cohen, the Mayor of Dimona, and Mr. Hezi Tzhaig, the manager of the Israeli Government Investment Center. DSI top-managers demonstrated the progress at site works.

DSI pilot plant and headquarters in Beer-Sheva welcome guests from Germany (IKA-Werke GMBH). IKA representatives visited the DSI pilot plant to proceed with the team-work experiment on precipitated silica production. The scientific work was followed by a meeting at the DSI office.
